Abstract
It is now an accepted fact that peptides of self or non-self origin form an essential component of the MHC class I structure. The peptide component of the heterotrimer contains the essential determinants recognized by the T-cell receptors of cytotoxic T lymphocytes, be it an antigen-specific, alloimmune or autoimmune response. Because of the importance of the recognition process, several methods have been developed to characterize naturally processed peptides presented by the class I molecules.Mesh:
