Abstract
The authors report the history of a 35-year-old man who was operated on because of an asymptomatic combined membranous obstruction and saccular aneurysm of the inferior vena cava (IVC) at diaphragmatic level. Using extracorporeal circulation as well as hypothermia, aneurysm and IVC obstruction were resected and the IVC reconstructed using pericardium. This case and the experience reported in the literature is discussed.Entities:
