Abstract
High-frequency ventilation is indicated when acute hypoxemic respiratory failure is associated with an ongoing air leak. This report describes the successful use of high-frequency oscillatory ventilation in a child with pulmonary contusions and traumatic pulmonary pseudocysts who experienced severe air leak syndrome on conventional mechanical ventilation.Entities:
