Abstract
A case of severe duodenal trauma is described in which duodenal rupture occurred but relative integrity of the pancreas was maintained. Conservative surgical management with construction of a new papilla of Vater and with anastomotic protection by a gastrojejunostomy proved successful and obviated the need for pancreaticoduodenectomy.Entities:
