The lateral trapezius musculocutaneous flap: its use in head and neck reconstruction.

O M Guillamondegui, D L Larson.

Abstract

We present a detailed description of the anatomic considerations, the surgical technique, and the various uses of the lateral trapezius musculocutaneous flap. Experience with this flap suggests that it may be the most versatile and dependable in repairing large, operative defects in the head and neck in a single staged procedure.
