Abstract
The need for objective evaluation of the effectiveness of nutrition education is discussed. The impact of Department of Health and Social Security recommendations published in 1974 aimed at improving infant-feeding practices is assessed. Education was effective in increasing breast-feeding, but was less successful at improving other infant-feeding practices. Suggestions are made for the improvement of nutrition education in the context of infant feeding.Entities:
