Diffuse sclerotic skeletal metastases as an initial feature of gastric carcinoma.

S A Carstens, D Resnick.

Abstract

Diffuse sclerotic bone lesions in the adult are commonly the result of metastatic disease. Carcinoma of the breast and prostate and Hodgkin's disease are the most prevalent underlying malignant processes. We describe a patient who had gastric carcinoma and early prominent diffuse sclerotic bone lesions and briefly review the literature.
