Abstract
The author presents a microscopic study of vein alterations observed in the course of different phlebopathies. The relatively limited role of the valves is emphasised and the author shows how important fibrosis of the intima and loss of muscular tone are. The varied histological appearance corresponding to various possible vein disease aetiologies are studied as much from the point of view of morphology as from haemodynamics.Entities:
