Abstract
All therapy in muscular dystrophy should be prospective and aimed at maintaining maximal function, so the patient can be as independent as possible. Treatment should be multidisciplinary and aggressive, and every effort should be expended to keep the patient upright and walking if feasible. Complications must be anticipated and vigorously treated. Attention should be paid to the psychic as well as the somatic aspect of the disease. Management conducted in an atmosphere of intelligent concern can minimize they many frustrating aspects of the muscular dystrophies while maximizing those benefits obtained through available care.Entities:
