Abstract
Photoreactions developed in five of 43 patients being treated for 30 months with repeat doses of DTIC because of metastasing malignant melanoma. An increase in light sensitivity in the UVA and UVB range can be demonstrated by light-testing in the affected patients but not in controls. It shows a decrease with the metabolism of DTIC. The increase in light sensitivity serves as an additional argument to avoid light exposure during and after DTIC injections.Entities:
