Primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus.

Abstract

A patient with unusual symptoms showed a polypoid lesion of the esophagus, found to be a primary malignant melanoma. Surgical excision was followed by localized radiation therapy and was completed with external radiotherapy. Subsequent bougienage and biopsy failed to show any evidence of malignancy.
