Double termination of the alimentary tract--a second look.

S K Chatterjee.

Abstract

This report is based on a series of 21 patients with a relatively rare anorectal malformation. They either had two abnormal tracts leading off from the terminal bowel or otherwise normal bowel coexisting with one abnormal tract or even two abnormal tracts. The anatomy, embryology, and management of the different types are discussed.
