A comparison of the duration of adhesion of Steri-Strips and Clearon.

Steri-Strips remained on the skin of twenty volunteers two and one-half times longer than Clearon Skin Closures. Various methods of preparing the skin before application of the adhesive strips did not alter the duration of adhesion of either Steri-Strips or Clearon. From the standpoint of duration of adhesiveness, Steri-Strips appear superior to Clearon as a surgical wound closure.
