Arterial occlusion following angiography.

G J van Andel.

Abstract

Many radiologists do not follow up the patients on whom they have performed angiography. This is only done when a radiologist is required to treat a patient with transluminal dilatation (the Dotter procedure) after a stenosis has been found in the iliac or femoropopliteal arteries. The author observed that in some cases an occlusion developed at the stenosis after angiography. The possibility of a causal connection is discussed.
