Shelf life of wet T1 broth vaccine for contagious bovine pleuropneumonia.

S A Garba.

Abstract

Monthly viable counts and pH monitoring of several batches of wet contagious bovine pleuropneumonia broth vaccine preserved at 4 degrees C were done. The viable counts of all the batches did not drop below 10(7) cfu/ml until after 4 months. The pH of the broth vaccine also stayed at approximately 7.55 for a period of 11 months. The investigation showed that the CBPP vaccine could be used within 4 months of production if kept at 4 degrees C.
