Abstract
An identification system for the vigilance states of the rat is described which uses as inputs the cortical EEG, neck muscle EMG and motor activity, and which allows concomitant monitoring of feeding and drinking behaviour. State identification and data recording are performed in an on-line and an off-line stage which are designed to accommodate a large number of data for computer processing.Entities:
