Abstract
The retrobulbar injection of a mixture of 2,5% of chlorpromazine + 2 % of novocaïne in blind and severely painful eyes was followed by a marked improvement of the subjective simptomatology in 82,5 % of the 63 subjects tested. The averaged follow-up was 2,6 years (range within 4 months and 8 years). Safe, simple and lacking in systemic involvement, the treatment with chlorpromazine can be proposed like a valide alternative to enucleation.Entities:
