Abstract
A traumatic false aneurysm of the descending genicular artery developed as a complication of suction drainage of a knee following synovectomy in a patient with hemophilic arthropathy. The aneurysm enlarged in spite of Factor VIII replacement therapy, and surgical resection was required. As a precautionary measure, in knee arthrotomy operations, trocar-tipped catheters could be passed through the lateral side of the suprapatellar pouch.Entities:
