Wilkie's syndrome--a rarity?

L Lundell, A Thulin.

Abstract

Six cases are reported of vascular compression of the duodenum giving rise to duodenal and gastric dilatation, a condition which may be more common than generally recognized. The pathophysiology, difficulties of diagnosis and treatment are also discussed. Recognition of this disease is essential otherwise it may be fatal.
