Consent for minors to participate in nontherapeutic research.

T G Furlow.

Abstract

The issue of whether a parent or guardian's consent for a minor to participate in nontherapeutic medical research is legal or ethical remains a current point of controversy for all involved in medical research on children. Although various formalized ethical codes and agency rules touch on human experimentation, only a few have specifically addressed this concern.
