Xanthogranuloma of the third ventricle producing hydrocephalus.

Abstract

Symptomatic xanthogranulomas of the ventricular system are rare entities. Presented here is a case of obstructive hydrocephalus that was caused by a xanthogranuloma arising from the superior aspect of the 3rd ventricle. The operative approach is discussed.
