[Iris angiography in the persistent pupillary membrane].

U Demeler.

Abstract

With fluorescence angiography of the iris vessels, in a 52-year-old female patient, blood-containing vessels with thread-like remnants of a persistent pupillary membrane could be demonstrated. From these vessels, a diffuse dye leakage was seen from free-floating remnants in the anterior chamber as well as from those which were inserted at the anterior lens capsule. At the pupillary margin, a diffuse fluorescence from the capillary network of the sphincter pupillae was visible, whereas the rest of the iris showed a normal angiographical pattern.
