[Compression therapy of the lower extremities particularly with compression stockings].

R Stemmer, J Marescaux, C Furderer.

Abstract

The compression therapy of the lower extremities is based on strong patho-physiologic lines and is well codified. The necessary values of pression for any case and the exact indication for compression stockings and pantys for each compression class are well known. The physician has to prescribe thoroughly the adequate compression stocking, thus protecting the patient best against further complications.
