Abstract

A new flexible thin needle for transbronchial aspiration biopsy through the flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope has been developed. The instrument is described and the experience gained in 53 transbronchial punctures is reported. The needle is a suitable adjunct to other accessories for use with the flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope.
