Abstract
Nine men exposed to high concentrations of lead in their work at a battery plant were examined with the aid of psychological tests. Intelligence tests indicated normal intellectual potential, but memory, attention, concentration and psychomotor performance were severely impaired. The clinical picture indicated an organic mental syndrome. Psychological tests are recommended for clinical evaluation of neurotoxic effects of lead exposure.Entities:
