Abstract
Ninety-three patients with subarachnoid haemorrhage were studied by computed tomography to seek features which might influence prognosis. In this series a normal scan pointed to complete recovery. The presence of a focal area of low attenuation, whether alone or in association with an haematoma, affected the outcome adversely. Prognosis was also influenced by the size of the haematoma. None of the other findings appeared to be a guide to prognosis.Entities:
