Abstract
A girl of 17 is described who presented, six weeks after the end of her first pregnancy, with intermittent abdominal pain and an abdominal mass due to encasement of the terminal ileum in a 'cocoon' of fibrous tissue. The cocoon was excised and the patient did well. The aetiology and management of this condition are briefly discussed.Entities:
