Urea ointment in the nonsurgical avulsion of nail dystrophies--a reappraisal.

Abstract

A nonsurgical and atraumatic method for avulsing dystrophic nails by employing urea ointment is described and appraised herein. In addition, our further observations of more than 125 patients are presented, indications for avulsion are suggested, and subsequent therapies are discussed.
