Intraoperative control of an ascending aortic pseudoaneurysm by Fogarty balloon catheter: a combined radiologic and surgical approach.

Abstract

A method employing an 8-F Fogarty balloon catheter to provide temporary occlusion of a pseudoaneurysm of the ascending aorta prior to surgery is presented. The technique of occlusion and its benefits are discussed.
