Abstract
Report on a case of a woman suffering from trifacial neuralgia who was treated with Carbamazepin (Tegretal). Following therapy there occured dyspnea and cough, followed by a considerable reduction of the pulmonary function. The symptoms were caused by a probably allergic interstitial pneumonia induced by Carbamazepin. The onnexion between Carbamazepin and respiratory failure could be established by reexposition. This side-effect of Carbamazepin is a very rare event.Entities:
