Fatal cryptococcosis in a patient with chronic renal failure: a case report.

Abstract

Wide dissemination of cryptococcus neoformans is unusual in man. The authors present a patient who had fatal cryptococcosis following corticosteroid therapy for chronic renal failure. Current views of diagnosis and therapy are discussed.
