Abstract
Humoral immune response (seroneutralization) and cellular immune response (lymphocyte-stimulation test) were analyzed in pigs inoculated with low virulent strains of hog cholera virus or vaccinated with a live-virus vaccine. Vaccinated animals exhibited an intense neutralizing antibody production, but cellular immune response was not detected. Neutralizing antibodies were not found in infected pigs, but a brief cellular immune response (18 days after inoculation) was observed.Entities:
