Osteoarthritic femoral head not invaded by an adjacent carcinomatous metastasis.

Anatomical studies of the upper part of a femur with a prostatic carcinoma metastasis not involving the remodelled territory of the osteoarthritic head are discussed. A more systematic study of the possible interaction between tumoral metastases and osteoarthritis is urged.
