Abstract
Calcaneal fractures at Grady Memorial Hospital were reviewed for the period of 1973 to 1980. Sixty-two of these fractures were available for follow-up. Treatment was with compression dressings, plaster, pin reduction or open reduction. Grading was by the previously published criteria of Allen and Lindsey. This paper identifies a positive correlation between facet reduction ad successful treatment results. Recommendations are made for fracture classification, surgical treatment and postoperative management.Entities:
