Abstract
In Western countries there has been a striking rise in the incidence of testicular cancer among young men, but little is know about the aetiology of the disease. Epidemiological studies in the USA have yielded conflicting findings on a possible relationship between marital status and testicular cancer. National analyses of 1957-61 death in England and Wales by marital status were published in 1964, and showed that under the age of 65 single men had higher death rates from this cause than married men. Possible interpretations of these findings are discussed.Entities:
