Abstract
Precipitation with cetylpyridinium chloride followed by hexuronic acid assay has been used to study glycosaminoglycan excretion in normal subjects and calcium stone formers. It was found necessary to concentrate dilute urines prior to assay to achieve satisfactory precipitation of the glycosaminoglycans. No significant differences in daily glycosaminoglycan excretion were detected between normal and stone-forming subjects.Entities:
