Abstract
The Swiss Federal Parliament has passed a law on accident insurance on March 20, 1981. It will come into force on January 1, 1983, and will replace the second section of the sickness and accident insurance law. The new law provides revised regulations for work safety for all employers and employees. the obligations of employers and employees for the improvement of work safety are extended in some points. the Federal Council will regulate the competence of the Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund and the federal and cantonal Work Inspectorates. A coordination commission should ensure the appropriate use of these executive bodies and the uniform application of safety regulations in places of work. The law further assigns the financial responsibility for work safety through additions to the premiums charged for insurance against accidents at work.Mesh:
