Alcohol halfway houses: treatment length and treatment outcome.

R Booth.

Abstract

A follow-up study of 196 alcohol halfway house residents did not support increased length of stay per se and improved treatment outcome. Further treatment following halfway house rehabilitation was, however, observed to have a significant impact upon outcome in the areas of productivity, criminal justice involvement, and substance abuse.
