Abstract
The effects of hypotonic treatment on the structure and length of chromosomes were studied using cell cultures from human blood and skin. A strong correlation of chromosomal prolongation following treatment with solutions of increasing hypotonicity was demonstrated. This may be a suitable tool to prepare chromosomes for banding technique.Entities:
