V/Q mismatches unassociated with pulmonary embolism: case report and review of the literature.

Abstract

A case is reported in which an intrathoracic stomach produced a ventilation/perfusion (V/Q) mismatch on lung scan. Causes of V/Q mismatch other than pulmonary embolism are reviewed.
