Disseminated tuberculosis presenting as massive hepatosplenomegaly and hepatic failure. Case report.

Abstract

A patient is reported with disseminated tuberculosis presenting as massive hepatosplenomegaly and hepatic failure. The rare occurrence of huge enlargement of these organs in tuberculosis and the development of hepatocellular dysfunction progressing to hepatic coma is emphasized and pathogenesis discussed.
