Abstract
Reactive sulfhydryl groups of major hemoglobins from guinea-pig, rat and cat reduced dehydroascorbic acid to ascorbic acid leading to formation of intrachain disulfide bonds. Hybridization experiments indicated that the reduction was carried out by the alpha chain of cat hemoglobin.Entities:
