[Atrial septum defect and myocardial infarction due to blunt chest trauma - a case report (author's transl)].

The case history, clinical course, the diagnostic procedures and pathomorphological findings in a very rare case of a traumatic rupture of the atrial septum combined with an anterior myocardial infarction in a 30-year-old male are described. The patient recovered from his injuries to a moderate state by means of intensive care but died on the 19th day after admission.
