Abstract
The effect of chlorpromazine on serum levels of PRL was studied in two anencephalic infants without identifiable hypothalamic tissue. After a single im injection of chlorpromazine, serum concentrations of PRL rose about 3-fold. This result indicates that chlorpromazine stimulates PRL release by directly acting on the pituitary gland in humans.Entities:
