Abstract
The course of 447 patients with an operated fracture of the femoral neck was followed from the accident until one year after. Methods conventional operating were employed. The mortality in the hospital was 16,5%. 343 out of 447 patients were still living after one year. 319 patients were able to go unreservedly or with an insignificant restriction. The rate of necrosis of the head of the femur amounted to 42% in the medial fractures of the femoral neck. The rate of pseudarthrosis amounted to 21%. The functional results do not correlate with the X-ray findings.Entities:
