Abstract
Potential risk factors for depression after childbirth were correlated with 13 symptoms of depression in a sample of 618 women from 64 general practitioners.Eight significant predictive factors were identified. The most important were stress after the confinement, depression during pregnancy, a severe attack of the ;five-day blues', a history of previous puerperal depression and previous miscarriage.Entities:
