Abstract
Serum myoglobin was measured by a sensitive radioimmunoassay in healthy controls and in patients with skeletal muscle disorders such as polymyositis and Duchenne type muscular dystrophy. The serum myoglobin levels were closely related to the serum creatine kinase (CK) activity, thus indicating that myoglobin is a useful adjunct in the assessment of muscle cell damage.Entities:
