Abstract
Protein A from Staphylococcus aureus interacts in a specific manner with most subclasses of human IgG. In the present study a method is described which utilizes Protein A labeled with 125I for the detection of antibody sensitization of platelets. The clinical applicability of the test for detection of in vivo or in vitro sensitization is demonstrated in three patients with platelet antibodies.Entities:
