Mineralized onchocercal lesions resembling tuberculosis in cattle. Report of cases from meat inspection.

T W Dukes, A Webster, A Bundza.

Abstract

Nematodes of the genus Onchocerca were found in mineralized foci in subcutaneous tissues near the stifle joint in several animals and in the gastrosplenic ligament in one case. These tissues were submitted to this laboratory by veterinary meat inspectors suspecting lesions of bovine tuberculosis.
