[Serological confirmation of the two subspecies of Neisseria mucosa Véron et al. 1959 (author's transl)].

Abstract

The two subspecies of N. mucosa (subsp. mucosa, subsp. heidelbergensis) can be separated not only on the basis of pigment production, type of growth and enzymatic activities, but also by their antigenic composition. This could be demonstrated by the immunodiffusion with absorbed antisera.
